Can I sync Google Drive files back to monday.com?
DriveSync’s standard file sync copies from monday.com to Google Drive. It does not copy Drive uploads or edits back to your monday.com Files columns.
DriveSync copies from monday.com to Google Drive#
The standard DriveSync file-sync workflow is one way: from monday.com to Google Drive. Do not rely on edits or uploads in Google Drive appearing back in your monday.com Files columns.
The saved link points to a folder#
Folder-creation automations write the new folder’s URL into your selected Link column. That is different from writing a separate Google Drive URL for each copied file.
| Link | What it opens |
|---|---|
| Folder link | The destination folder containing the item’s files |
| Direct file link | One particular document or file inside Google Drive |
If you need a direct file URL#
Contact support with the workflow you need. Explain whether an item contains one file or several, which column should receive the result, and what happens when a file is replaced. A proposed custom change is not part of the standard product until support confirms it is available for your account.
View Drive without reverse syncing#
The item-view feature lets you browse a Drive folder from monday.com. It is a viewing workflow and does not turn the standard file-copying automations into two-way synchronization.
