Why can’t I open a Google Drive folder in monday.com?
Check which Google account is opening the folder. The account in your browser can differ from the account DriveSync uses to create folders and copy files.
Check which account needs access#
The Google account connected to DriveSync performs automation actions. An embedded folder view can use the Google account active in your browser. These accounts can be different, so a working automation does not automatically mean the viewer can open the folder.
| What is failing | Account to check |
|---|---|
| Create folders or copy files | The account connected in DriveSync Settings |
| See folder contents inside the item view | The Google account used by the embedded view in your browser |
| A teammate cannot open the folder | That teammate’s Google account and folder permissions |
Check the folder permissions#
- 1
Open the destination folder in Google Drive with the account used by the failing action.
- 2
Confirm the automation account can add content to the folder.
- 3
For an embedded-view problem, check the active/default Google account in your browser.
- 4
If necessary, ask the folder owner to grant that specific account the required access.
- 5
Refresh the viewer or retry a single test automation.
If you see a 403 or access error#
A 403 does not identify one universal cause. Record the account being used, the affected item, whether the direct folder link opens, and the exact error. If the account and permissions look correct, send these details to support.
