Getting started
How to connect or change the Google account used by DriveSync
Open the DriveSync Settings board view to add or change your Google account, then check that account’s folder access and automation connections.
Connect an account#
- 1
On your board, click the plus beside the view tabs, choose Apps, and select DriveSync Settings under Installed.
- 2
In the Settings tab, find Google Account and click Connect Google Account.
- 3
Complete the Google sign-in and review the authorization request.
- 4
Verify that the intended Google account appears in the connection settings.
- 5
Check that account can access your target Drive folder.
If Google sign-in does not open#
Check whether your browser blocked the sign-in popup. Allow the popup for the current setup flow and try again. If you are using the monday.com desktop app and the sign-in flow does not open, complete the initial connection in a web browser.
Switch the connected account#
- 1
Review which automations or workflows use the existing connection.
- 2
Disconnect the current connection in DriveSync Settings, then add the intended Google account.
- 3
Verify that the new account has the required folder access.
- 4
Review the credentials selected in affected automations.
- 5
Test one folder or file operation before resuming normal use.
Check the viewer account separately#
The browser’s Google account can affect embedded folder viewing independently of the automation connection. If copying works but the viewer fails, check both accounts.
Common questions
Does every teammate need to connect a Google account?
Teammates can trigger configured automations by creating items or uploading files without each connecting Google. A teammate who configures automations needs their own connection and the appropriate Drive folder access.
Why does nothing happen when I click Connect Google Account?
Check whether your browser blocked the sign-in popup. Allow it for the setup flow and try again. If sign-in does not open in the monday.com desktop app, complete the connection in a web browser.
